Ten years on the same roofs

The Chimney Guys works out of Sherman Oaks and covers the San Fernando Valley and the cities around it — roughly 30 miles in every direction from the shop on Emelita Street. Ten years of climbing ladders in this specific geography. Licensed, insured, and answerable to the neighbours whose roofs we stand on.

Working one region for a decade means the guesswork goes out of the job. We know which streets were built when, which eras used unlined flues, which hillside neighbourhoods need access planned rather than improvised, and which postcodes lose caps every time the Santa Ana blows. A crew that covers half of Southern California cannot know that, and it shows in what they miss.

The other thing a decade in one place does is make reputation the only thing that matters. Nearly all of our work comes from people who were recommended by somebody down the road, which is a powerful reason not to sell anybody a repair they do not need. If your chimney is sound we will tell you it is sound, write that down, and take payment for the inspection rather than inventing something to fix.

Every visit finishes the same way: photographs of each component, a plain-English note on its condition, and a price against anything we genuinely recommend. You keep that report. It is what your insurer asks for, what a buyer asks for, and what next year's inspection gets measured against.
