Ringing us is faster than the form
The phone is answered around the clock, including weekends and holidays. If smoke is coming into a room, if you can smell burning above the firebox, or if water is running down a chimney breast during a storm, call rather than write — those are the calls we drop everything for. For a routine sweep or an inspection booking, the form is perfectly fine and usually gets a reply inside the hour.
What to have to hand
Four things make a phone quote accurate rather than a guess: what you burn (wood, gas or pellet), roughly when the chimney was last swept or inspected, whether the fireplace is masonry or a metal unit inside a framed chase, and how the roof is reached. If you do not know, say so — it is a normal answer and we will work it out on site.
What happens after you get in touch
We agree a time window and turn up inside it. Drop cloths go down before anything else, the work is quoted before it starts, and the price we give is the price on the invoice. You finish the visit with photographs of each component and a plain-English summary of what we found. If we think something needs doing you get a number for it; if we think nothing needs doing, we say that instead.
